Well, you've really captured the moment with this song. If I'm not mistaken, this piece is very much East meets West. The oriental parts of this song definitely has that Chinese feel to it. It was a good choice, because the time period that type of music was used was a rather peaceful time. I'll also note the theme is very "peaceful farmland-ish" since that type of music is mostly used for folklore.
In a way, this piece is when dream meets folklore. It doesn't tell any particular story, but it definitely sets the stage for a story to take place. "Turtle" does seem a little inappropriate, because this song focuses mostly on dreamy moods and ancient Chinese settings than an actual object.
Still, 10 out of 10 for creating a fantastic piece. The title is mismatched, but it is of little consequence as it does not effect the visual this piece so strongly produces.
If you ever saw Kung Fu Panda, the turtle/sensei character is what I was thinking about when I named it the turtle. But yeah, this does seem like it could have had a broader title. = ] but im glad you dig this piece bro! in fact i think ill go loop it up right now!
take care mon

Among the remixers here on Newgrounds, you're definitely one that completely blows away the charts. You put so much effort into recreating the music with rich sounds and spectacular technique.
I really can't wait to hear what you remake next. Your music always carries that special feel I cannot find anywhere else.
This song actually gave me a small laugh. It's high energy and highly playful nature is very apparent in this piece. For a first track, I must say this is very impressive as it immediately caused an emotional reaction; that is a very rare quality to come by.
Perhaps why it caused me to laugh a bit was perhaps the very beginning of the piece made it seem as if a story was being told in a very strange quality. While that quality disappears later in the long and some of the notes simply do not match at all. Still, it gave a very entertaining sensation listening to this song.
9 out of 10, you've really captured that playful sensation when it comes to music.
P.S. I sent you a private message, you might want to give it a look whenever you have the time.
=] read the message bro, that was some good stuff. I gotta make some new stuff to put up thats actually new, not just that i finally uploaded. See if i can learn anything haha.
Yeah i guess you could say im a playful person, maybe it just comes out in music. Hmm did the drums bother you at all? My sis said during the fast part she had trouble picking it up, wasnt sure if the highhats were too loud or somethin.
=] thx again my main critiquin man. if ya got any buds who could give a decent opinion feel free to show em my stuff.. ya know, if your bored and theyr into that ; ) haha
